Frene is a spacious 3 bedroomed gite which sleeps 6.
Kitchen - large fridge/freezer. Four burner cooker with oven. Microwave. Plenty of work surfaces and cupboard space. Ample pots, Pans and utensils for self-catering.
Lounge/Diner - Solid Pine Table and Chairs. Settee and air Chairs.
Bedroom 1 - On split level with entrance to front patio and car park. Double Bed, Bedside table, Wardrobe.
Bedroom 2 & 3 - On first Floor, 2 single Beds, Bedside tables, Wardrobe, Chest of Draws, Good views over the gardens and countryside.
Bathroom 1 - On split level opposite Bedroom1, Large Walkin Shower, Washbasin, Toilet, Washing Machine.
Bathroom 2 - On First Floor, Toilet, Washbasin, Walkin Shower.
Patio - Small patio by the car park and split level entrance, Garden Table and Chairs, Large Private Patio with Garden table and Chairs, BBQ, Parasol and entrance to Kitchen/diner, Good views over the landscaped gardens.
General - Duvets, pillows and blankets are supplied, you may bring bring your own linen, or hire our linen at £10.00 per person per week. Cots and high chairs are available free.

A refundable £200.00 security deposit is required,this is fully refundable if no damage to the property and left in a clean and tidy condition.

We are proud of our gardens at La Grange not only because of the way they are landscaped and the vast amount of colour in the flower beds, but because of the amount of enjoyment that they bring to our visitors.
The gardens were designed so that where ever you are on the site there is always something interesting to view, and with the gardens blending into the natural landscape it has the feel of space and being together with nature.
The gardens are basically in two parts, the landscaped garden and the sports field though within the former there is a boules court.
The Activities and Facilities at La Grange are very extensive,with something for all ages.
Outdoors
Out doors there are 2½ acres of landscaped gardens with shady nooks and quiet corners, the gardens are full of flowers and mature trees, within this part of the gardens is the boules court and garden chess. There is an additional acre plus of gardens where we have a football pitch, Trampoline and swing and sliders.
Swimming Pool - 10m x 6m with roman steps has a depth of 2.4m shallowing to 80cm. The large outdoor pool has a large terrace with tables and chairs and is enclosed with a safety fence with self closing gates for the security of our younger visiters.

Golf - There are several courses within easy driving distance.
Boating - The lakes at mervent have sailboats, canoes, kayaks and pedalos for hire.
The Green Venice also has boat hire with or without a guide.
Biking - The hiring of bikes is possible at several locations.
Horse Riding - Available in the Mervent/Vouvant forest.
Karting - There is an excellent course at Fontenay-le-Comte, where karts can be hired.

The Renaissence town of Fontenay le Comte is just 12km away and is listed as one of the "beau Detours de France".

The FRENE gite is one of 5 gites on the La Grange Gites Complex at
St.Martin-des-Fountaines in the South Vendee. The two large Renovated farmhouses
have been converted into 4 gites ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms and maintaining
many of their original features ie. centuries old Oak Beams, Stone walls and
bread oven. The large Barn has been converted into an Activities Center with
Heated indoor Pool,Games and Sports Facilities and an Entertainment Lounge with
TV, DVD, Video, XBOX, Library and much more. The Gardens consist of 2½acres of
landscaped gardens, with shady nooks, quiet corners, Boules Court and full of
flowers and mature trees. A further 1 acre of garden has football pitch, swings
and slides and Trampoline. The large outdoor pool has a terrace area around it
with secure fencing. L'Hermenault 1½ Kms has super market, bakers, Bank and post
office.
