Refurbished for 2013 this beautiful gite is situated just South of
Saumur. Set in beautiful private gardens which are secure and very
private, the gite has been completed to an excellent standard and offers many
extras including Free WIFI, IPOD docking station, English satellite TV, safe for
private belongings, Free use of cycles; two adult, two BMX, two 'kiddies' and a
child seat, etc.

The gite is adjacent to the main farmhouse and comfortably sleeps 2 to 5 persons making it ideal for families, couples or small groups looking for a relaxing holiday.
The property can also be let as a 1 bedroomed gite (simply close off one of the bedrooms), if preferred.

This spacious gite is renovated to an extremely high standard whilst
retaining period features. The fully fitted kitchen is well equipped and include
a dishwasher, butler sink, halogen hob etc. The downstairs Shower Room
incorporates a washing machine.
Ground Floor: The huge lounge is double aspect and has a vaulted ceiling and log burner. It is equipped with comfortable sofas, a Flat Screen English Satellite TV, DVD and Video etc. Free WiFi internet access also included. For 2013 there will also be an IPOD docking station, there is even a safe to ensure your valuables are totally protected.
The large kitchen/diner offers cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes dryer, microwave etc The beautifully appointed dining area seats 6.

Upstairs: is the Master Bedroom (en-suite) which is also very spacious and has a vaulted ceiling, exposed original beams and has dual aspect with windows facing to the front and rear of the property. King Sized bed plus a single bed. The master bedroom en-suite consists of shower, WC and washbasin. Hairdryer provided.
Linen and house towels are provided.

We are extremely proud of our gite which is maticulously checked, cleaned and prepared by the owners prior to every rental.
NO SMOKING AND NO PETS
The property is set in a private walled garden with areas at the front and back for exclusive use by guests staying in our Gite, including a children's play area. Two sets of outdoor furniture allow a variety of places to relax or enjoy meals. New Gas BBQ for 2012.. Cycles are provided at no extra cost. Rest assured, this is not a gite complex; this is the only gite and you are assured privacy and sole use of the facilities available. The British owners live on-site and are available if necessary but never invasive.

“Pure bliss - the place to excape to”
Having stayed in many holiday cottages, this is definitely the one to benchmark all the others! The gite is very well presented, is extremely well equipped and maintained to the highest standards The secret to this excellence is clearly the two donkeys that are ever-present and well supervised by Norman the cat who appears just like the proverbial Genie. The is also a guy called Andrew who was very welcoming and will always appear if you pop a cork! It was our first visit to the Loire region and there is so much to see we shall definitely be returning to continue our explorations. The only problem is that the gite is so relaxing its almost too much trouble to venture out, its perfect to relax in and well placed to explore a very interesting region, with lots of excellent restaurants and endless vineyards to sample. We would highly recommend a stay here.

A large gite in a very rural location surrounded by beautiful countryside, birds and wildlife. It's well equipped with plenty of space for the kids, with the added attraction of Samson and Zeus, plus of course the ever present Norman! There are a selection of bikes for the use of the guests, as well as space to play badminton, basketball, etc. The owner, Andrew (Jackie was away), was incredibly accommodating and a wonderful host and it was nice to share a drink two with him and chat about life in France. We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to returning next year!

Myself, Sandie and our two children 11 and 7 travelled from Dublin. This was our first time in a Gite so to be honest we didn't fully know what to expect. Warmly welcomed by Andrew & Jackie, we were shown around our gite and can only say that we were delighted far beyond our expectations. It had everything we needed for an ideal Loire Valley base. Simply beautiful, spacious and almost too comfortable! It's a great location for access to Saumur and numerous lovely rural towns like Montreuil Bellay and Le Puis de Notre Dame. The zoo at Doue la Fontaine was good fun, as are the numerous chateaux and wine tasting experiences. There are very nice restaurants to be found in the surrounding towns. We did sample a couple in our week there but invariably we found ourselves looking forward to getting back to the gite, light the barbecue and soak up the evening sun in the garden. I would highly recommend a stay here.

A lovely gite, comfortable and spacious.The location was perfect for visiting many of the sight seeing spots in the Loire valley. Thanks to Andrew and Jackie for a very warm welcome and for arranging the wine tasting session for us at a local vineyard. A perfect holiday!

We organised our trip at the last moment and have never tried the 'gite experience' before with our young family - we were definitely pleasantly surprised. Andrew and Jackie were very welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The gite was very spacious and immaculately clean. Our daughter particularly enjoyed the outside space with the sandpit and of course the donkeys. The gite was also very well located allowing us to explore the local area. The zoo is an absolute must and we also enjoyed visiting chateaus and local markets. We will certainly be returning!

A beautiful gite surrounded by sunflower fields and vineyards. From the moment we arrived we loved this place and we did not want to leave. Comfortable and clean with modern decor and facilities, you will not be disappointed. Our hosts gave us a really warm welcome, as did the donkeys! A trip to the zoo at Doue Le Fountaine is a must as is the Chateaux at Chenonceaux.
